The BlackPrint Project exists to preserve what we have lived, uncover what it can teach us, and make sure the blueprint does not disappear.
For decades, I have watched my fellow brothers and sisters become masters at navigating spaces that were never built to welcome us. Out of necessity and grace, we developed strategies, sharpened our instincts, and cultivated a deep well of hard-won wisdom. Too often, that knowledge leaves with us when we step out of the room.
One story can move us. Thousands can teach us.
We have always told our stories.

- Following promotions we fought too hard to earn.
- After encounters with systems we were expected to navigate without a roadmap.

Some remind us exactly who we are.
Some changed us forever.
And some contain lessons we did not realize were lessons until years later.
But too many of those experiences disappear with the people who lived them.
The BlackPrint Project is building a place where those experiences can be preserved, connected, studied, and transformed into something the people coming behind us can actually use.
The BlackPrint Project exists so that wisdom endures. It is our promise that the blueprint does not disappear. It remains right here with us, preserved, protected, and passed forward for generations to come.

Preserve
Some things should never be lost.
We create a lasting record of Black experiences across generations, professions, families, communities, and institutions so the wisdom inside them does not disappear.
Understand
One experience can feel personal.
When the same experience appears again and again, something larger may be happening. We look across stories to understand recurring patterns, strategies, barriers, breakthroughs, and outcomes.
Create
Knowledge should go somewhere.
What we learn can become books, research, guides, tools, conversations, educational resources, media, and practical help for people navigating similar experiences.
Pass It Forward
The next generation should not have to start from zero.
What took us years to understand can become a clearer path for those who come after us.
Different systems. Different realities. One interconnected story.
Black life does not happen in categories.
